A YAV Year Blog
I am a girl on a mission- a PC(USA) Young Adult Volunteers mission, that is. Over the coming year, I will be living, loving, and learning from everyone around me as I participate fully as a member of my local community in Colombia. This blog is a way to stay in touch with my friends and family back home (hi, mom!) during my YAV year.
There are a few things I want to let you know. First, thank you for stopping by my blog. I'm glad you checked it out! Second, I want to just go ahead and state that this blog will serve multiple purposes. It is primarily a way to keep in touch with my loved ones and people who have supported me on my way to this year. But I imagine it will also be a record of sorts. For me personally, I want this blog to capture some of the experiences that lay ahead of where I am at right now. This blog is a way to record a small part of what I observe, feel, and live in Colombia. It is a way to celebrate and a way to remember.
